A pretty simple question, right? But Monday is 21st October, which means I officially started this business 8 months ago, and I can't believe how things are going!

(Publishing this on Tuesday night, ahead of Monday, but I can't work out how to schedule these from the website yet, so sorry if you found this sooner than Monday 21st)

#HonestMonday Blog Post, but a positive one at least.

In most ways, things are going BEAUTIFULLY! (Thank you amazing clients). I have produced some work I am immensley proud of, and I have a new portfolio that means I can stop sharing the older work. Okay, the old work will still appear from time to time, but the point is, everything I can show you is now up to date!

I think one of my favourite things is sitting and sending out and invoice. Generally, I hate the admin side of this job because it's what my "Other" job is doing, but sending that one little PDF means I have secured a client. I have agreed a job. I am making money. I am suceeding as a business woman and a photographer! That's the dream after all.

Back in April I shot an amazing wedding. The Bride is a very special friend, and I was so worried about doing her day justice, but she trusted me, and that was the rocket I needed to send me onwards and upwards to where I am now. I didn't think I would love shooting weddings as much as I do. The editing part still leaves a bit to be desired but I think half of that is just having faith I am doing right by the client and giving them what they deserve from their day.

I was going to fill this little blog post with a run down of all my faviurite bits from the official business year so far, but then what would I post on the 1 year anniversary, so you'll have to wait. But here it is. The happy, uplifitng stuff from my first few months.

Now can we all pray that my call with the accountant goes well. (Okay - This is definitely the bit I hate most about this business malarkey!)

A few more photos from Tash & Andy's day, at Furtho Manor Farm, because I love them. The photos and the people!
